to begin, you must know i'm french so please apologize me for the mistakes i could make with english...

summer is the season of weddings... and spring is the season to make your weddings cards! If you want to make its yourself, why don't you use prima flowers? Because there is often a lot of flowers in a jar, you don't have to spend a lot of money to decorate your card but the flowers give it a very sweet look and also give it a king of thickness (3d effect).And you don't have to put a lot of other embellissements because flowers are allready so beautiful!
use brads, glue dots or anything else to stick it.

Quick and Easy Project!!!

HI there everyone! Today I thought I would share a quick, fun,
and easy project with all of you. It doesn't take much effort at
all and you always get FANTASTIC results!



1. Here are the basic supplies that you will be needing.
2. You are going to take your largest flower and fold it adhering it together.

3. Take two other medium flowers and do the same with them.

4. Adhere all of your flowers together to create this stack that

is in the clip. You also be adhering the flower stack to the

back of your clip. This way when you open and close your

clip you won't have to keep repositioning it.

5. Now you are going to take a smaller stack of flowers and embellish

any way you like.

6. The final step is to adhere the smaller flower stack right on the

front of your clip. Your flower clip is now COMPLETE!!! Wasn't

that simple?!

Inspirations. . .

Very so often, someone would ask me "Where do you get inspirations for your layout?". Here is how I do it :)

This little book, is so precious. Will always be.

It goes almost everywhere with me. If I'm watching TV, it will be beside me. If I'm on the PC, it will be on my table. If I'm out and about, it will be tucked somewhere inside my trusted red sling bag. In short, this little book is always somewhere near, somewhere accessible. Because I don't know when I will get inspired. It might be a line I heard on CSI, or some part of the lyric from a song sang by Kristi Lee Cook on American Idol (just like this layout, did this after I heard her sang "Anyway").

Not only you can jot down titles and journaling, you can also do a quick sketch if you see something that inspires you, something, anything at all! Might be an ad you saw in the magazine, a signage for that antique shop in your town? You never know.

I want you to remember that inspirations can come anytime, anywhere. Be ready.

More New CHA Products Have Arrived!

The CHA Products Continue to roll in, and even more surprising is the fact that even with all the new items, there are still lots more to come! We've received part of our order of the new "The Goods" single clear stamps. We have more of these cute little stamps on their way but in the mean time, check out the hearts and corners that have already arrived.

We also received the oversized, 12x12 "Stamp-O-Rama" stamp sets, and the matching "Shape-O-Rama" cardboard/chipboard die cut combo shapes.

If you love to work with Chipboard, you may also want to check out the Embossed Chipboard Book. This book contains 8 3 hole-punched pages including the cover, and is a bargain at $5.99

And one of our favorite new products are the Painterly Petals, which arrived en-masse in this new shipment. These vibrant, speckled flowers were designed to match all the new paper lines.

April Kit Debut

The Cafe Prima April 2008 Monthly Flower Kit is jam-packed and is now available! CHA flowers did not arrive in time for this kit so to make it worth the while, we've made a supersized version of our a kit containing our favorite neutral flowers. It has 143 flowers, and is aptly named it "Petalicious!"

Congratulations to Heather (Woodberries) for submitting the winning name in our Name our Kit Contest.

Monthly Spotlight= Cafe Prima Princess

Hi to all you amazing scrappers out there! I know you all have many different styles and uses for your Prima flower kits and we want to see them. The first week of every month I will be choosing one layout (or project) from the Cafe Prima gallery, and will highlight it here on the blog for everyone to enjoy. You will be crowned "Cafe Prima Princess" (or prince) and recieve a special blinkie to display proudly on your blog for all to see how absolutely fabulous you are! ;) Your creation front and center!

Here are a few rules:
1.You must use the Cafe Prima flower kits! However, it does not have to be the current months kit, just make sure to let us know in the description what months kit you did use.

2.You must have at least 2 small flowers or one extra large flower on any layout or project for it to be considered

3. Layouts/projects must be entered into the "User-submission general" gallery. You may be required to make a free account with us if you haven't already, for posting access.

4.To be considered, layouts and projects must be posted to the gallery by the 31st of each month. (ex: to be considered for the month of May, layouts need to be in by April 31st) Feel free to post as many layouts as you like!

5.Make sure to check back the first week of the month to see if you are the choosen one! if so you will need to post a comment with your email so we can send you your special blinkie :)

The first "Cafe Prima Princess" will be announced the first week of May, so what are you waiting for? Start creating and get in those layouts!!

April contest

Cafe Prima will hold a contest every month from now on. This month I had the honour to create a great contest. Here are the terms and conditions:

* Create a layout with at least two different patterned papers.
* Include Journaling of at least 30 words.

1. To enter, post a comment on this post. In your comment, link to your entry so we can see what you made. Feel free to post your entry in the Cafe Prima Gallery!

2. You have until April 30th to enter.

3. Our design team will choose the winner by awarding points to their favorites. Points will be cumulated and the the creator of the layout with the most points will win a prize from Cafe Prima.

4. Winner will be notified by May 4th here on this blog. The winning layout will be posted here also. Be sure to check the blog post on May 4th.

Contest is open to all US and International Residents, aged 18 and older, except where prohibited by law. Cafe Prima reserves the right to publish the winner's first name and last initial in Cafe Prima publications including but not limited to the Cafe Prima Blog, Newsletter and Message Board.
